We love Drew, Carey and Zoe!

I agree with Renee that this traveling family is among my favorite people. Please check out their blog and see the great pics and posts about their trip and their little girl, Zoe. They delivered a care package to Kozette and took these awesome pics. Blog buddies rock! Thanks again Drew and Carey.

I think Kozette will be Little Miss Aloha. She looks like she is ready for Maui.

Oh my gosh the photos are truly special...and I agree that Drew and Carey are quite special themselves taking the time to take photos and bring gifts for other Gladney families!

Hello,

I wish you all the luck with your new daughter. I've been reading your blog. Just wondering why did you send your beautiful brown new daughter a white doll with blond hair?

You probably didn't think about it, but now that you have brown daughters you might want to look for baby dolls that reflect their beauty. I've been reading a lot about these things and those of us adopting transracially need to think about the dolls and books and toys we give them.

Good luck on your trip and if you're looking for some suggestions about multicultural books and dolls and things, check out the blog, Multiracial Sky.

Happy Holidays to you and your little girls.

Thanks for the comment. You are assuming a lot by saying I have not thought about the choices I make. I am very aware of the importance of my girls being exposed to dolls and toys of all colors, genders, shapes and sizes. Please be careful before making assumptions. If you would like to continue the dialogue please email me privately. Mahalo.

Dear "Anonymous" ~~
I can attest that you could not be further from reality in your assumption that Maria has not thought about her multiracial family. Our entire family is dedicated to continuing our awareness on issues that may confront our new babies, as well as ourselves, in regards to ethnicity. We cherish and respect the girls' backgrounds and are committed to education and awareness of all cultures. Since Maria did not choose to write about the signficance of sending this particular angel doll to Kozette, I will not either. As you may know the international adoption process can be stressful to the families preparing for our new babies, so I would recommend that your unsolicited "anonymous"
"wonderings" be withheld -- they come without knowledge.

Miss Aloha is peanuts for that beauty.

She's more like Miss Universe!
